Sorry for the late reply, I use Mechjeb 2 (available on the forums)
As for rendevous, Mechjeb, gets into a higher orbit, then plans a hoffman transfer to the target, then when near, it matches velocity with target.
As long as you are in a different orbit than the target its quite easy to do as long as you follow the manuver nodes you create very carefuly. Remember to pack a lot of RCS fuel!! |

For Mechkeb 2 - do I have to create the maneuver nodes to get the rendevous autopilot to work? |

No, it should do it all by itself.
PS. 0.21 is out. |

Fuck yeah it is, and it only gets worse. Every successful mission breeds an ever expanding mission scope.
Hey, you launched a rocket! Now get into orbit!
Hey, you're in orbit! now get to a higher orbit!
Hey, you're in a high orbit! now launch a larger payload!
Hey, congrats on that heavy ass payload! Now assemble a space station!
Sweet station you've got there! Now go orbit the moon...now land on the moon...now get home...now go to another orbital body.
Each successive mission requires a geometric increase in time to complete as your rockets and maneuvering get ever complicated. |

Thankfully Kerbals don't require food. My first orbiting pod is still circling the planet and its passenger isn't dead yet. My second launch was unstable as hell, but my probe achieved a solar orbit with a max distance further than the last planet. _________________ Anyone seen my banstick?

The lastest version has been plagued with bugs, but a hotfix has been released, hopefully fixing most of them.
It now requires power to move the ship using torque only, which i think is a nice featuire.
Wabbit, is there any chance of a KSP section in the forums, so everything is not in one thread? |

When you say ti requires power, does that mean we need to put batteries on our crafts?
Great idea for a KSP section! I'll create one and move this in there. |
