Well I managed to hop on occasionally with you guys, not as much as I ought to, but unfortunately I will be disappearing again from gaming.

I'm not sure if any of you heard about the flooding that happened here in Calgary but it devastated quite a few people here. I am one of the lucky ones that was in an evacuation zone but was thankfully not flooded.

Yet there are some people in this world that take advantage of others while they are otherwise down. I'm very much into downhill mountain biking, too much in fact, and someone decided that while I was evacuated that they would take it upon themselves to use a ladder and steal my ~$2500 mountain bike from my balcony and make off with it.

That leaves me with that I will have to sell my gaming computer in order to at least purchase another used mountain bike. Insurance won't be able to cover my bike.

It was fun hoping on BF3 and PS2 with you guys on occasion. I'll still hop on here and chat every now and again (mainly at work as this will leave me without a personal computer other than my phone) but for now, goodbye until I can get another computer!

Quite sad hearing this. We don't need low life like these. All the bad things you do eventually comes back in your face, one day or another.

At least you're safe and nothing else was stolen from you. I only hope you get a decent price out of your gaming rig and that you can get a ride that suits you well.

I, too, had a load of shit on my shoulders for the past 3-4 years.

The short story:
I have been actively engaged trying to keep my dad alive - he is 87 now.
Found out the hard way that I was doing WAY TOO much. I have decided to quit two VERY GOOD paying part time jobs because ... life got to hard. I checked myself into the mental ward on 5/20/13 - mental exhaustion, mentally wanting to say "screw it I'll jump off a bridge", etc. And a bad case of depression.

The son of a bitches locked me up for 8 days with the mental cases that wanted to commit suicide. I would NEVER do that. Being very pissed off was/is an understatement while there. No outside influence of anything. Even the windows on the 1st floor were painted over to get NO outside sense of relief. I could not even see the weather.

Anyway,

Dad is back in a nursing home for the third or fourth time in the past 3 years [I have lost track of the counts]. Release is this Saturday 6/29/13. It was real HARD to confront my mother that taking care of him is beyond her abilities. He [dad] is 87 and she is an old bag of 82 and it is too much for her. Her doctor said "if you don't stop what you are doing, you will be dead before him". I have decided to put my life on "hold" and take care of him to the end. I know for us as a couple it is financial suicide - but is after all my dad - you only have ONE like him.

For a while I felt sorry for myself and have STOPPED. When I was a little baby, dad, whipped my ass of the crap. Now it is my turn. Latest shower/bath of him was awful. He crapped all over my arms and he did not know what was happening.

Reaching at the limit of the "end of the rope". I found the end , the rope is tough Smile

But no worries, things will get better someday. You guys take care.

Sorry to hear Monica! Someone once told me though, "A smooth sea never made for a skillful sailor." Just keep on truckin'!

Kapak the bike was locked, it was attached with a Kryponite bike lock (strongest on the market) to a gas line... In which these guys actually hack sawed the gas line to get the bike... Thus creating a gas leak. Whole apartment building could have went up! They literally used a ladder to climb 5 stories to get at it. They were not the brightest of the bunch... I mean hack sawing into a gas line... Real smart. Rolling Eyes

My friends bike was stolen as well but they have recovered his. Most of the reddit community for Calgary is keeping an eye out (they are the ones who recovered my friends bike). They recovered it from some bums so looks like it is just a bunch of vagrants that took it.

Grunt, glad to hear you weren't harmed during the floods and saddened to here about your bike. While you may have to take a break from gaming, we'll still be around to hang with on TeamSpeak and the forums. Let us know if you need any help with anything. Take care!

Oh yeah I'll be popping by teamspeak and the forums occasionally. This will leave me without a computer except for work for a bit till I pick up a cheapo laptop.

You may see me online from time to time on steam and BF3 but that will be my buddy. He is buying my computer so I am giving him use of my Steam and Origin account until I can get a new rig. At least this thing is going to a good home that will be well used!
