In this thread sliced_lime is one of the DICE guys. He makes several posts about bugs that they're looking at with the netcode. Interesting stuff. I thought this post was particularly notable:
Quote: | It's definitely fixable. There is nothing on a theoretical level that should prevent us from reaching the same level of quality to the gameplay experience as BF3 in BF4, or better. We simply have to find and fix the correct issues. |

Except that's not what's happening to us at all.
Just like the first comment says, they are almost instantaneous. Which wasn't an issue on BF3...and really should never happen.
Which to me, points to a much larger part in the framework that they are having trouble fixing.
He nots 100-150 ping is reasonable... with 15-50 we are instantly trading...
My problem is...this never existed until now! I've NEVER played a game that did this... |

Regardless of the exact issue I just think it's cool that they know about the problems and are trying to get us back to the gameplay in BF3 which was quite good. |

Did you see a while back they did an announcement that they are stopping all expansions to fix the game? |

EA is now being sued for halting their expansion production to fix the game. Apparently, when they made the announcement they were halting expansion work, their stock took a nose dive and now there is a class action suit of share holders (who probably don't even play the game) are suing for damages.
The customers (us gamers) and the developers would love to focus on the game but know, there has to be some grabass stock holders involved to ruin the product. Thanks guys!
Anyways, I traded all the time in BF3. |

For some reason I didn't think this was a thing. |

I always made the joke in BF3 when I traded a la Jeremy Clarkson: "Slowest bullets...in the world."
I may not have been as prevalent as it is now, but it still happened quite a bit in BF3. |
