The joke is that the AR-15 is the Barbie Doll of guns, you can dress them anyway you'd like. Here, in 'Murica, there is an over abundance of accessories for an AR-15. Most of them are superfluous. The joke being, Mall Ninjas, or other arm chair commandos, like to load up their AR-15 with everything under the sun. Occasionally I'll see a guy at the range that has everything possible on his gun, multiple lights, a laser, fore-grip and light combo, red dot sight with magnifier AND back-up iron sights, ambidextrous mag release and bolt release/catch, some high-speed tacticool stock, backup flashlight and a redimag to carry a spare mag on the gun and finally a bi-pod. This is all great if you a competition shooter (well, laser is a but much, as are the lights, and the bi-pod on a carbine doesn't make much sense...). I think there are some people out there that like to think they are prepared for a home invasion. To be prepared they need that red dot sight AND backup iron sights. They need two flash lights in-case one goes down. You'll here from a lot of instructors to not buy all that shit and spend the money on ammo and training.

So as jokes you'll see guys, like in the videos above, attach as much gadgets to their rifle as possible. I've seen a rail mount ax blade once, what every zombie slayer needs.
