Nope, I launched it from Kerbin, with a 500+ part ship.
Mods are
B9 Aerospace: Used for the Floodlights
Near Future: Used for one of the Capsules, the fusion generator and heat radiators, Solar panels, Capacitors and Batteries. Highly recommended Mod.
Real Chutes, this adds far better Chutes, that deploy over time to allow better deceleration.

Nice work, Dan. Really impressive that you got such an unstable looking base into orbit at all, and then to land so well. Well done.
I had a look at some of your other screenies, and that one of the initial ascent with Kerbol above the ship looks like it would make a nice wallpaper. |
