My "Community Monicker" name for the forums is "Solvek". My ingame id name will be "Solvig". (screwed that one)
I put in a ticket to get my ingame name changed to the same as the forum name monicker name. Will get changed sometime down the road. Low priority.
As far as a friends list versus the organization... You can do or join an organization now. The friends list will be in the works down the road. I'm sure at some point it will be added. Maybe when the game is finalized for release full version.
But I sure wish Monica would jump in and get the "War Pack" game package. That way DontCamp would have a nice Idris-P ship. |

I currently have a Track IR setup and I was happy to receive a newsletter from them stating they are working on Star Citizen. While not as cool as an Occulus Rift, Track IR is pretty badassed. |

That is great news Wabbit.
I've got the TrackIR 5. I knew they said it would possibly be supported in the game but didn't know that TrackIR itself has it listed as being so.
I don't know if Oculus Rift would work out for me or not. Neat setup but I would like to be able to try a "finished consumer version" before I would think about purchase.
I like my 3 monitor setup running 5764 x 1080.
I have the Saitek X45 and thought about getting the X52 Pro for the game.
But Star C. has been in talks with several companies of making a Star C. game joystick. So I think I'll wait to see what happens there. |

Has anyone been checking up on the Star C. website? Dog Fighting module is just around the corner for going live online.
Remember tho, it is alpha build yet. They are working out some bugs yet. |

I have been following it. I'm waiting patiently for the DFM to drop. _________________ EDT sucks. |

Still trying to decide what to get for a joystick. Haven't used one since my Sidewinder FFB Pro for Freespace. _________________ Anyone seen my banstick?

I think you'll be happy to know that one of the goals of the game is to support every piece of awesome PC periphery possible. This would include crazy joystick and HOTAS setups like the Saitek X-55 Rhino (the dev's are working with Saitek to utilize as many features as possible on that stick). Track-IR has announced that they will support SC. The SC devs have also stated that they will support Occulus rift and other VR googles. So I imagine that adding rudder pedals will be no problem! |
