What everyone's thoughts and specific tactics for Obliteration mode?

I want to know if it's just me being way out of whack with what I experienced this weekend.

I think that when "randoms" have the bomb we can only hope to follow them and clean up the mess by picking up the bomb ourselves. When our squad gets the bomb then we can set up a plan of attack to get our bomb defenders out in front of the bomb carrier and pointed at the right objective.
