Symthic.com is apparently creating weapon statistics for PS2 much like their BF3 and MOH tools. http://symthic.com/

Planetside 2 Infantry and Vehicle Shield Testing:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ao2sGqpRdtcDdEpSM1llZEtOU1BGSjVLaGQxMUJHNXc#gid=1

PS2 Weapon Data Sheets DEC12 Game Patch 1

ESF Rotary Calculator GU13

Vehicle TTK Calculator

Weapon Damage Analyzer - Includes TTK values against other infantry types. This is more of a calculator than a damage chart.

I did some rough calculations for 3 of the NC LMG's:

A player generally has 500 shield hit points and 500 health hit points. Infiltrator has 400 shield and 500 health. So, in general, you need 1000 points of damage to drop most players.

Gaus Saw:
200dmg per shot
500rpm
5 shot kill
8.33rps
1666 Dmg/Sec

EM1:
143dmp per shot
652rpm
7 shot kill
10.87rps
1554.41 Dmg/Sec

EM6:
167Dmg per shot
600rpm
6 shot kill
10rps
1670 Dmg/Sec

Now I've been using the EM1 with softpoint ammo, forgrip and suppressor. I'm not sure what the exact damage modifiers are for the soft point ammo so the above comparisons are in their stock form. On Khag's recommendation I'm going to give the EM6 a shot. I really like the fact it has 3 fire modes - Full Auto, 2 rnd burts, and single shot. This gives the EM6 the ability to hang with the Gauss Saw at medium to long range.

From a lot of forum posts the consensus is that the EM1 is the prefered LMG for CQC yet based on damage per second seems like the EM6 is the sweet spot. Sigh, I just don't know! I miss the days of BF3 and exact weapon stats.

According to the spread sheet I linked earlier, Soft Point Armor - "decreases bullet velocity by an unknown value, as well as extending the initial damage dropoff range for the weapon to 15m instead of 10m and reducing minimum damage by 1 tier (167 → 143, 143 → 125, 125 → 112, 112 → 100, 100 → 91)."

What's the point of the soft tip ammo if it does less damage then?

Soft Point Ammo is great for CQC as it extends the maximum damage into the midrange of most weapons. Now I have herad from a youtube video that mentions something to the contrary of what Symthic posted - in the video they mention that at close quarters your damage is reduced by 5% but at medium to long ranges the damage increase is effectively larger - something like 25% or so at longer distances. Nothing is verified yet and I can't find that video anymore.

Any idea if SOE is going to put out tables for it? Or is it up to others to do it?

Seems to be standard practice now that the community will be on the hook for posting specifics. Lots of testing seems to be the norm.

Added Shield Testing Chart. That chart also contains some DPS figures. It's unfortunate that the VS and TR standard LMG have a higher DPS at every range. Granted the author admits these DPS figures aren't exact. NC are supposed to have the heaviest hitting weapons out there - what good do they do if they do less DPS at every range? Maybe it is possible that weapons like the T9 (stock TR LMG) have such a high bullet deviation that they aren't effective at range - one can hope.
