|
So I've been mad at ps2 for a while because it just doesn't run well. It's my AMD CPU, it hates it. So I'm going to make this game work damnit!
Here is my journey of improvement!
Step 1: Unparked 3 cores of my 8 core processor.
Result: 18% increase on PCmark7 !!

Totals so far: 18% increase CPU side.
PS2 result: with previous ps2 settings, this actually FLIPPED by cap.
I am now bound by GPU! This is great news! |

It seems like PS2 renders shadows that special way where they destroy your framerate. Turning off shadows might be another way to speed things up, but it's a noticeable difference to the environment. |

Yeah shadows should always be off in any CPU intensive game. |
