Well, since my saves were lost during the 2.1 update, I have started from scratch.
I am currently buldiing a Rover for a Mun Landing (skycrane method)
Obviously when I get there, I will plant the CockHolster Flag
Once I have a Rover on the surface, i will land a couple of Crew habitation modules near it to provide somewhere for my visiting kerbals to stay.
Pics to follow. |

I give up on the Mun, as ive been there before a few times.
So now im aiming for Layhe
In trying to design a lander for Laythe, that uses jet engines to lift back off its surface, but im struggling because my planetry transfer stage is proving to heavy, I think i need to build in two parts in orbit... |

Thanks, Even though it has 8 Turbojets, its not that fast until you get up high, then for some reason, the turbojets start working better. But then, when you reach speeds of 700m/s + they cannot get enough air in fast enough resulting in a flame out and a loss of control as they dont flameout all at the same time. |

I did something wrong and have lost my hub and spoke space station. I guess I'll just have to rebuild it! I'm going to try out some 3rd party space station mods this time. I'm thinking of designing this as a fuel station from the get-go to aid in Mun and other planetary missions. Any suggestions on 3rd party mods would be appreciated! |

B9 Aerospace pack.
Mainly used for building Jets, its comes with hundreds of parts that you can add to a Station or Base.
ISA Mapsat
If your going to be putting things in orbit, then you might aswell give it something to do while up there. Polar orbits cover the whole surface when scanning / mapping btw.
KOSMOS Space Station
Lots of Space Station parts, I haven't used this yet but am downloading it as i type. |

You guys are amazing with those builds. I was proud of myself for getting a guy to Minimus and back but those stations are impressive. I'll check out the mods and some more tutorials. This is a very addicting game. |

Its actually possible to orbit minmus from its surface just using the EVA backpack
Ive given it a rest for the time being, i think i played it a bit too much, im all ksp'd out. i think ill wait for the next update untill sending Jeb to his firey fate. |

I bet you needed a shit load of Delta V to kill all your solar orbital velocity?? Unless you Pressed Alt-F12 |

Alt-F12 was used, this was a theoretical experiment. The issue is that you craft will explode several thousand kilometers above the sun's "surface" |
