So I'm sitting at work here watching the clock tick... started thinking of what pet peeves I've got with BF4. What're yours?
1. Being recon with either a soflam or mav I'm trying to deploy and a supply drops ammo right on my head so I reequip the gear instead of being able ot deploy
2. The maneuverability of the attack chopper. BF3 was great....right now it's.... horrible, though much better than it was on release.
3. Q spamming to get targets and then issuing an order instead of spotting.... grrrrrr....so annoying. _________________ [MTL]Mortis - "No one says you have to fight a war with your pants on..."

As the reluctant squad leader #3 is by far the worst. BELAY THAT ORDER. |

My biggest pet peeves aren't game related. My biggest pet peeve is as of late is the lack of squad comms. We've all gotten pretty good at the basics, what, where, whow many...when calling our contacts. What I'm not hearing are people actually acknowledging those contact calls. Acknowledging that you heard a squad call lets everyone know you're on it. A lot of the times I'm hearing contacts being called and now one is speaks up that they heard the call. At this point I have to assume that no one can deal with the contact.
We're also seeing information being repeated on squad comms. This is where tow separate players call out the same contact back to back as if the second player did not hear the first contact call. I understand that when you're under/returning fire that your focus is shifted towards your threat. You may tune out everything else that isn't important at that very moment of trying to kill another contact. With time you'll be able to cut through the fog and be able to carry on a conversation while returning fire, or be pompous like I am lecture everyone on squad tactics while engaged in a fire fight: http://youtu.be/946QZKaT_Ng?list=UU48nEVeujTa-ZXdHTneAg8Q
Sometimes, shit gets real crazy and even I fail to process a squad comm. When this happens all I know is that someone said something. So I simply file the fact that someone said something and wait for the craziness to end. Once I have a moment I'll ask for someone to repeat the contact call. That's totally okay in my book.
So yeah, my pet peeve really boils down to teammates not taking responsibility for squad communications. If someone calls out a threat, acknowledge it. This way your squad mate and/or squad leader know you are backing them up.
Example 1:
Player 1: They are rushing left side B.
Player 2: rgr, I'm moving left with an LMG.
Example 2:
Player 1: They have an MAV up that is ruining everything.
Player 2: rgr, I'm spawning with a stinger.
Example 3:
Player 1: There is a tank that is camping the objective. We need to RPGs.
Player 2: rgr, I'm moving there from (location) with a SRAW. Anyone else got a rocket?
Player 3: rgr, I also have a SRAW, moving to the objective with you.
Player 4: I'm spawning with ammo for you guys. |

Similar to the comms issues, it's annoying when people don't move as a squad. When the squad orders are good, follow them. If you think they should change, say something, and then follow them anyway.
Even if not formally using the orders system in-game, just stick together (but please don't stand on my nuts and go find your own damn cover). |
