I guess it is time we have a meeting to hear what everyone's ideas are.
I think the low pop as of late has something to do with players playing Hardline and on the CTE. Oh and world cup soccer is keeping all the Brazilians away...
I think it is time to shake things up a bit. Unless there is some strong objection I'm going to add in all the "shitty" maps. It obvious that the "good" maps aren't attract players like they used to so let's go in a different direction. |

I changed up the maplist quite a bit and now people are playing on the server. This does not remove the need for seeders.

Pure Battlefield's documentation of seeding mirrors what we're looking for. We concur with their observations that we need 3 to 5 seeders for a server to take off and also that we need servers early in the day or else it will not populate. Seeding needs to start early. The best time to seed is right after you've decided to stop playing late at night. Seeding from midnight on is a great way to build the population by mid-day.

What is server seeding?
Server seeding is logging on to an empty server (even idling) in order to attract more players to join. Nobody wants to join an empty server!
Why is server seeding important?
Without seeders on early in the morning, servers tend to stay empty most of the day -- maybe even the entire day. This is true even for a thriving community like PURE.
How many people are needed to seed?
History has shown that roughly 3-5 seeders are needed for a server to "take off." Fewer than that, and not enough people will join; more than that, and joiners get discouraged when they find the server has far less action than they expected. When the 3-5 mark is hit, servers almost always take off quickly (in under an hour).
What do I need to seed?
You need a computer that can run whatever game you will be seeding overnight and during the day. The exact timeframes vary, of course, but a rough guideline is at least 1am-1pm ET (10pm-10am PT / 6am - 6pm UK time). You also must be willing to run the seeder automation software we will provide.

OK, so you're officially on the Seeding Team! Here's what you need to do:
When you're done using your computer for the evening, sign into Battlelog with whatever account you are using for seeding.
Start the seeding automation tool.
When you no longer want to seed (e.g. because you're going to play the game, or using your computer for other things) exit the seeding automation tool by right-clicking on its icon in the System Tray.
That's it! If your computer is available to seed 24/7, then all you need to do is check in on it every day or two to verify that everything is still running smoothly. No intervention should be necessary as long as things are working properly.

| Our popularity has dropped from the 94 percentile to 88 in the past month. With BF4 being <$20 on Amazon I went ahead and picked up an extra copy to help us seed. I think we need 4 to 6 seeders on to keep the server populated with real players. |
