I definitely don't believe that. If these were hand loads then this was done on purpose. That is a 700+ dollar gun, why would you cut the barrel like that?

Based on the range safety stuff behind it, I think this is probably passed around at the range safety class. My guess is this is a SAAMI test gone wild (or something like that), then they milled the barrel to get the fun show piece.
