Rumor: Battlefield 2018 to Be Battlefield: Bad Company 3
This info is courtesy of AlmightyDaq, who also leaked a ton of Battlefield 1 info that turned out to be legit. Here’s some of the info we’ve compiled from the video.
Various locations in the campaign will be “mid and post-Vietnam conflict” and not include the Cold War, and will not be “historically accurate.” Game modes confirmed to be in it are: Conquest, Rush, Operations, Domination, Team Deathmatch. There will be a 5v5-centric game mode similar to Squad Obliteration.
Maps will allegedly focus on “tighter gameplay” rather than “all-out warfare” and will be similar to Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3 maps like Oasis Grand Bazaar, Harvest Day and so on.

| Not buying it in the slightest. Doing a Bad Company without the titular bad company is dumb. Doing it with a new (old) bad company is also dumb. I could probably give it some credibility if this start being leaked elsewhere, and as some "bad company" prequel, not Bad Company 3. |

The guy posting it also had the scoop on battlefield 1 before it was ever announced.
Apparently there are 2 battlefield series being worked on simultaneously. Battlefield 5 - WW2 by Dice in Sweden and Bad Company 3 by their LA division.
That's the scuttlebutt.

I'm more interested in playing a WWII shooter than a WWI shooter but it's still no where near as interesting to me as modern combat.
That doesn't mean I'm judging people, that's just me. |

I'll be happy to be wrong about it, but credibility from the bf1 leak makes him just as likely to be great outlet for misleading info; one source is no source. |

| So this has been bugging me all week. BC3 rumors aside, I feel fairly confident that the next "Battlefield" game will be based in WWII. It's disappointing enough news to sound like something EA would actually make. |
